The Sextant™ is a recurring series of board-level briefings on the hidden constraints shaping the infrastructure in deep-tech. Each issue isolates one constraint and ends with the questions a director should carry into the next board meeting.
The last series spent six issues on what it takes to build AI infrastructure: capacity, substrate, qualified people, packaging, power, and the capital structure financing all of it. Those are supply problems, and money is solving them. You can access all of these previous issues in the archive.
This new series asks the harder question. Once the capacity is built, what does it take to get paid back?
