I’m Back, and Something Beautiful Is Unfolding

Wow… it’s been a while since I’ve written to you like this.

The winter months were not especially kind to me. Between feeling unwell for most of January and navigating my own mental health, I found myself moving inward, quietly, slowly. But with the arrival of spring and these warmer, light-filled days, I feel like I’ve come back to life.

And with that return… there is so much beauty ahead.

There are so many meaningful and beautiful things unfolding for The East Experience, and I’m so excited to share a gentle preview of what’s to come this year. This season has been one of reflection and soul searching, really asking myself what I want this space to be.

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve seen me explore many paths… photography, flowers, now ceramics. It may have felt a little like whiplash at times, and truthfully, I’ve felt that too. But through every season, one thing has remained constant.

My love for beauty.
And my desire to create it.

When I first met my husband in 2020 and we dreamed up the name The East Experience, I remember saying so simply… I just want to create and share beautiful things. I want people to bring more beauty into their everyday lives. Because I believe, so deeply, that beauty has the power to offer us peace… to reconnect us with nature, and gently guide us back to ourselves.

It’s taken me years of exploring, experimenting, and creating… through photography, through flowers, and now through ceramics… to finally arrive at something that feels grounded and true.

I want to make things with my hands.
And I want to share them with you.

I also feel deeply called to create space for connection. To gather, to slow down, and to experience beauty together in real life. As our world becomes increasingly shaped by technology and AI, I believe human made objects and human centered experiences will only grow more meaningful and valuable.

Because of that, I’ll be offering workshops throughout the year… centered around flowers, ceramics, and photography. Spaces where we can create with our hands, connect with one another, and return to something more present, more grounded, and more human.

And with that, I wanted to share a little glimpse of what’s just ahead.

I’ll be attending my first of many in person markets this year on Saturday, April 25th at the Glenmerle Goods Cottage Sale. This beautiful and thoughtfully curated spring gathering, hosted by Katy, brings together a collection of local vendors, and I feel so honored to be returning for my second year.

I’ll be bringing a collection of dried flower wreaths, my very first ceramic pieces, and a small offering of stationery featuring my floral photography. It feels like such a full circle moment… to share these pieces in person, made slowly and by hand.

I am so excited to be there, to meet you, and to connect in real life.

And just a few days after the market, I’ll be releasing my very first ceramic collection on May 1st.

This collection will include dinner plates, floral frogs, and a few small, thoughtful trinkets for the home. Each piece is entirely made by hand… hand built, hand drawn with my wildflower designs, and individually glazed by me. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that’s part of what makes them so special.

I’ll be releasing collections at the beginning of each month moving forward. Because ceramics require so much time, care, and attention, each release will be limited in quantity. Creating in this way allows me to stay present with the process, honor the craftsmanship, and thoughtfully manage each order as it comes in.

Behind the scenes, I’m also in the process of planning my first workshops of the year, working through dates and locations for what these gatherings will look like. I recently hosted a workshop with Jessica Ferris Realty, where we spent time creating dried flower wreaths for the home, and it was such a beautiful experience. We laughed, created, and shared such a meaningful time together.

In the meantime, I’m also opening up a small number of pre-orders for Mother’s Day. I’ll be offering my dried flower wreaths, along with ceramic floral frogs and small trinket dishes. With Mother’s Day just a few weeks away, these pieces feel like such a thoughtful and lasting way to celebrate the women we love.

Each one is made slowly and by hand, intended to be something meaningful, something that holds beauty, and something that can be kept and cherished for years to come. 🌿
