Hello!
For those in the United States, I hope your Independence Day was a fun and safe one. We got to celebrate with most of our family (my dream is for all of them to be here next year, Lord willing) - which means our two grandbabies were here. Precious, precious days with those two sweet ones.
I know summer can be crazy busy - (and for those of you in the Eastern hemisphere, what exactly are you all doing this time of year?? Help me understand a July that is not summertime) with schedules being different depending upon how school sessions.
We change how we cook. We change where we hang out. The weather is a big factor to how one spends their time. This all likely impacts your study and prayer schedule too.
So - what are you studying in July? I am working on a variety of things - the book of Philippians, praying through a scripture writing plan about Obedience, working on the rest of Season 6 podcast episodes to finish up key players in the writings that cover the divided kingdom, and a couple other things (always).
If you want something different to meditate on every day - here are a few things from the archives that I hope will inspire you.
Season 2 A Woman of Valor is… 12 episodes to inspire you to see the Proverbs 31 Woman who is already inside of you
Season 5 & 6 Men & Women from Scripture Each episode is a single study of a man or woman in the Bible and the lessons we can learn from their example. Some are good examples - some are bad examples. Choose someone from the list and start a conversation with your children or friend about their story.
Here are a few of the women who come back to my mind often - they always seem to be waiting with another lesson (or a reminder of one I forgot) to encourage walking with God. Which is your favorite?
These are resources that used to be part of The Diligent Woman Shop. They, and others, now live in The Diligent Life Community to give you inspiration for your next study. Even though the images are “Spring” themed, the 18 scripture cards are another great way to encourage conversation and meditation with your children, grandchildren, or friends. Start a text chain with a scripture every other day and then share what happens in your day that connects to the scripture you shared. You might be surprised how often you find God in the little things of your day.
What other things have you been using to keep you inspired and motivated to stay diligent in this busy season?
I will keep you in my prayers for a joyous, safe, and blessed summer.
With all diligence,
Angela
