I still don’t quite understand how Substack works, and although I’ve been sharing my thoughts in the chats, apparently they are not considered “posts”. So this is my first “official” post, as it were.
I originally wanted to name this Substack, The Deep End, but upon investigation, discovered that name was already taken. And as I explored the idea of what to name the process I’m currently experiencing, an 89 year-old friend casually remarked, “Sounds like you’re doing a deep harvest”. And those two words, deep harvest, struck a chord in me, and thus was born the name of this page. The Deep Harvest.
So what am I talking about when I refer to The Deep End and The Deep Harvest? Think of it this way:
The Deep End
Not everyone wants to come here. The shallow end is comfortable. Predictable. Familiar.
The Deep End is for people who feel called by something more. It’s for those who can no longer ignore the deeper questions. It’s for those who know there is another chapter waiting to be lived. Those who are willing to dive beneath the surface of their lives and discover what is waiting there.
The Deep End is where we go to uncover our deepest truths, telling and living those truths as best as we can. It’s about having the courage and curiosity and sense of adventure to trust and follow those truths, even if it means leaving behind the comfort of a safe and predictable life.
The Deep Harvest
This is what we bring back from The Deep End. It’s the distilled wisdom our soul is offering for the next chapter about to unfold.
This page is for readers who understand what it feels like when the old life no longer fits. When the questions get bigger than the answers. When success no longer satisfies. When the soul starts knocking louder than the culture. When something inside whispers: “there is more”.
Not more achievement. Not more productivity. Not more status.
But more life. More truth. More authenticity. More soul.
If this is you, I'd be honored to have you Follow and Subscribe to my Substack and I’ll return same back to you.
Until we gather again for another Deep Harvest, may the waters be deep and the harvest worthy of your soul. 🌊🌾
For those wishing to continue the harvest:I created Soul Food: Daily Nourishment for the Sacred Self as a companion practice for those who are learning to live from the wisdom they have gathered. If it calls to you, you can learn more at judithrich.systeme.io/s…
