Before I begin, I want to thank everyone reading this. This is a difficult piece to write, but I know many of you have followed the journey, the concerts, the community moments and the joy of this tour closely. What happened to me in Glasgow was completely unexpected, and since then, many of you have reached out privately with kindness, concern and questions. I truly appreciate all the kind messages I’ve received.

This is my attempt to share openly and honestly what happened, how it felt, what I still do not understand, how we tried to get answers, and the larger questions it raises about fandom, community and the relationship between an artist and the people who follow him from city to city.

What follows is personal, vulnerable and important to me — and I hope valuable to you as well.
