Masculinity Is When There's No Point of Nope

I read this article by Hilarious Bookbinder and previously another article by LastBlueDog on masculinity. Seeing as I am a woman I know I am automatically disqualified from writing on this topic. But I would still like to write about it. Both of them sort of left a cliff-hanger at the end about whether women have metacompetence, whether marking it as masculine will mean women are barred from practicing it and whether it becomes exclusive to men. I have some thoughts mainly because I recently experienced the joys of metacompetence and it felt so good.

I really liked the idea of metacompetence, in fact I was dancing on my tiptoes in excitement as I read this essay, because it clicked so many pieces floating in the abstraction into place.
