"hamster brain," the struggle is real!
Hello Friends,
It's been a while since my last update, and I wanted to check in. Things have been busy, and I'm excited to share some of what I've been up to.
For starters, I’ve continued to dive deeper into the world of AI and creativity. I shared some of my research here in an earlier post on NotebookLM, and offered more in-depth details in my Blog on my website. Currently, I am comparing different platforms and learning a ton. I’m excited to share what I've discovered in a future post, so stay tuned for that.
I've also been busy with my role as a sponsor for Bands at the Barn, a wonderful private event in Nashville that supports local artists. This has led to some amazing video interviews for "The Creative Push." Over the last two months, I've had the pleasure of interviewing three incredible Nashville singer-songwriters, each with a unique story to tell. My links to those are below, and I hope you'll check them out.
On the personal creative front, I’m finally back on track with my travel videos! I've been working on over ten videos from my recent adventures in Spain and Portugal. Video editing is extremely time consuming and that process was delayed earlier this year due to several work projects. My YouTube channel will soon feature these travel stories, and each will also contain travel photography tips for anyone wanting to take better vacation photos. Then, my next endeavor will be to create fine art imagery from my travel photos. I will bring you along on that path as it happens.
I am also working on a series of videos that will center around my life as a creative while exploring the art of storytelling. These will be in both short and long form videos. Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to stay in the loop.
Now, for a moment of honesty. I feel like I've failed you a bit with this Substack channel, and I'm truly sorry. When I started, my plan was to send out an update at least once a month. But as is often the case, my "hamster brain" gets going and I take on way more than I should. It's a challenge, but I'm really working on building more consistency. I want to share the journey—the ups and the downs—of living a creative life with you. Thank you for sticking with me.
One thing I have been consistent with is my weekly "Diary of a Storyteller" posts, which offer a more personal look into my life and thoughts every Sunday. I hope you'll take a look if you're curious.
On a personal note, I’ve been dealing with a frustrating insurance claim for hail and wind damage to my house. You know how annoying it is to be ghosted in dating? Well, being ghosted by an insurance adjuster is even worse! But after a long road, it seems the repairs are finally going to begin. This might disrupt my creative flow a bit, but I’m hopeful it won't be too much of a setback.
Thank you again for your support and for being a part of this community. I’m so excited about what’s ahead, and I’m committed to sharing it with you.
Wishing you a wonderful August!
Stay tuned,
