Painting trees! - sketch and chat | With Char from Blue Shine Art Club

I worked with Tombows and home-made walnut ink, plus Raw Umber pencil for texture and detail

My photo reference was of a tree on the edge of my local canal - It was taken on a cold grey day one winter. I loved the shapes of the branches against the white sky and the still reflection in the water 😍

I was blown away by Char’s sketch and painting - what she managed to achieve in the hour (even though she was interrupted by tech issues) was incredible 🤩
