Ok, I’ll admit to the fact that it is a bit of a clickbait title, but I could not resist.
Judging from the type of comments I have started to receive on some of my pictures since I turned 30, I am inclined to believe that there’s a pedophile sitting silent within a lot of men. There’s something predatory and sick about it.
My Albanian mother never let me go to a sleepover at other people’s houses when I was a child. I used to think she was dramatic, she was imposing, she was autocratic…Turns out she probably knew men’s dirt better. Because I see the point now. I, now, at 31 years old, have to defend myself from men who think women at 30 suddenly die, they become zombies, and they can jokingly bully.
Now that the same women they drooled over, probably for years, are 30 and therefore close to their deathbed of desirability, men apparently feel the sudden urge to take revenge for all the attention they did not receive when they were ugly teens. The thing is, some of these men are just as ugly now as adults. The only leverage they have is thousand years old fears implanted in women’s bones, sadly, with the help of their own mothers. Fear that they're valuable only as much as they are desirable, fuckable, and they give birth to a man’s child.
Of course, whatever I am about to write does not apply to decent men and to love, as love has nothing to do with power and its plays. In the quiet of my room, I pray to God that He make me experience love. Contrary to popular believe I do not think “love happens to everyone at least once”. Love is not for the weak; power plays are for the weak. Sadly, that’s the best 99% can come up with. Here we are speaking of the murky and low vibration domains that seem, unfortunately, to be predominant in women-male interactions.
A few weeks ago, I unfriended a guy from Facebook. He is, or thought he is, what I consider a decent bloke. I liked his analysis on a lot of topics, never banal, always thoughtful and nuanced, and it helped we seemed to share the same political values. Which, to be honest, are not shared by many. Essentially, they revolve around the value of freedom.
Sure, whenever I shared something regarding love and relationships, or there would be interesting debates with other friends, he’d share how hard it was to connect to women nowadays. I tend to agree with that, as relationships are complicated for everyone today. And I always thought this is a man who went through a difficult divorce, probably with a difficult woman; let’s be lenient with his wounds. Now I am starting to think being lenient to certain men is a disservice to society. In my relationship to men, I am in my Mao Zedong era, which I wish had started even sooner. So this article is to punish one and educate a hundred.
3 weeks ago, he suddenly thought that it was a smart idea to comment on the picture below, taken at the wedding of some dear friends last December, with “date”? He ruined an almost perfect and immaculate list of comments full of stickers and emojis from all my boomer Albanian aunties. Now, it is not the first time a male specimen asks me when a good picture of me was taken since I turned 30, so I am starting to see a pattern. It looks like men start thinking they have to check on your expiry date as if you were food. I believe this type of man should never be allowed to eat a woman out, or decent food in general.
