The Spirit Of Comedy
Spirit of Comedy, the comedy competition brought to you by Dutch Barn Vodka (the brand owned by Ricky Gervais), is back for 2026 - on the hunt for the nation’s next big stand-up talent.
“The winner will take home £5,000. Everyone else leaves with a story about performing in front of a live audience armed with Applause Paddles, a Laugh-o-Meter, and in the room voting - an app that lets the crowd rate jokes in real time.
“No prior experience is required. Entrants need only nerve, material, and a willingness to get up in front of a room.”
