Hamilton Accies vs Celtic B - KDM Evo Trophy

A really positive start to the KDM evo for the B team with a win over the League One table topping Accies.

Lucas Clearie and Rhys Dargie continued their goalscoring form and Thomas Hatton, who impressed in pre-season, sealing the 3 points with a clever near post finish at the end.

The KDM trophy is a good test for the B team as they get a chance to face some league teams, albeit all of the B teams fixtures are away.

The format is fairly similar to the system in Europe where the teams are all in a league, and play 6 fixtures. Top 22 from 40 qualify for the knockout rounds, and that’s where the 10 Championship clubs enter.

The tournament then turns into a conventional KO tournament where the 10 Championship teams and the top 6 from the league phase are seeded and play against the unseeded teams (7th to 22nd).

Round of 32 → Round of 16 → Quarter-final → Semi-final → Final
