Busy days here, getting ready for The Piano Tuner’s Song Kickstarter as well as writing Folkloric Devilry.

My goodness, the Kickstarter has taken some effort, but it’s also been amazingly rewarding—even before launching! Having the opportunity to bring my own vision for the book to life has been super special. And… and… and…

…my collector’s edition proof came through!

I was so nervous about opening it. It’s been such a learning curve. Managing a design project of this size has been a first for me.

But… it’s BEAUTIFUL. I was bowled over.

The hardback is above (dust jacket off). Heavens, I’m almost blinded by the gold. Apollo is truly here with his lyre, casting his light upon us! Or should that be Abellion (the Pyrenean sun god from Folkloric)!

Excuse the handling in the next video. I haven’t gotten the hang of the elegant flick through yet! What I need is to not be holding the phone with one hand.

There’s so much I could describe about the interior that will have to wait until next time, but for now, I wanted the reader to feel surrounded by starlight, and the book really does give that impression.✨

Heads up, you may not receive the Cornish Folklore newsletter for a little while. I’m loving doing the pieces, but what with the Kickstarter, my mind is going in too many different directions. Once this campaign is over, I’ll be getting my teeth further into editing the original source material, so I’ll have loads to share. I’m finding that having two major projects on the go at one time is more than enough.
