My Recent Summer Finds & How I'm Styling Them

I recently got this chocolate brown polka dot maxi from DISSH, and I’m officially obsessed. It’s exactly the sort of dress I love wearing this time of year - light, comfortable and so easy to throw on. Add a pair of leather flip flops, a raffia bag and a few pieces of gold jewellery, and you’re set!

It’s one of those pieces that makes getting dressed feel incredibly simple, but still looks like you’ve made an effort. I’ve already found myself reaching for it more than I expected.

Of course, once I’d started browsing, I couldn’t stop there. The lace separates immediately caught my eye (I love that you can wear the cami with either the matching shorts or the sheer skirt), and then I came across this beautiful broderie anglaise dress from Fabrique, which feels perfect for the rest of summer.

So I thought I’d share a few of my recent summer finds, and how I’m styling them.

Look One

This has quickly become my everyday summer uniform. I’ve paired the dress with simple flip flops, a structured tote, bold sunglasses and sculptural gold earrings. It’s comfortable enough to wear all day, but still feels polished, which is exactly what I’m looking for at this time of year.

Look Two

For evenings, I’ve swapped the casual accessories for something a little more elevated. The gold clutch instantly dresses the polka dot maxi up, while the flat sandals keep it feeling relaxed enough for dinner by the sea or drinks on holiday. Sometimes it’s just about changing the accessories rather than the outfit itself.

Look Three

I also love this dress styled in black. It feels a little more understated, especially paired with silver jewellery, a woven shoulder bag, heeled sandals and cat-eye sunnies. It’s such an easy option if you’re heading straight from the beach to dinner without wanting to completely change.

Look Four

I’ve always loved matching sets because you get so much wear out of each piece. Worn together, the lace camisole and sheer skirt feel soft and feminine, but I’d just as easily style the top with denim or the skirt with a simple tank. Finished with a raffia tote, minimal sandals and oversized sunglasses, it’s one of my favourite holiday looks.

Look Five

I’ve also been drawn to broderie anglaise this summer, and this Fabrique dress immediately caught my eye. I wanted to keep the styling simple with leather flip flops, a woven leather bag, classic gold hoops and tortoiseshell sunglasses. It’s one of those dresses that doesn’t need much else.

I always find that the best pieces are the ones that don’t require much thought. They’re comfortable, easy to style and somehow make getting dressed feel that little bit simpler. These are the pieces I’ve been reaching for lately, and I have a feeling they’ll still be favourites long after summer is over.
