Former Oklahoma state Sen. Judy Eason McIntyre gave Dr. Corinice Wilson’s campaign $4,000, making her Wilson’s largest individual donor.
After The Black Wall Street Times identified that the amount was $500 above Oklahoma’s individual contribution limit and questioned the campaign, Wilson’s team acknowledged the overage and said it would return the money.
The story also examines McIntyre’s years-long public opposition to incumbent Vanessa Hall-Harper and the unanswered question of whether that history influenced her financial support for Hall-Harper’s challenger.
