Hello lovelies,

Summer is coming to a close (boo) but that means our fourth art market is right around the corner! Until then, we have plenty of programming at our K-Town space to keep you busy and creative.

• ✨EXCITING NEWS ✨ – Our fourth art market, Demons & Angels, will be on Saturday, September 19th! Vendor announcements are currently being rolled out on our social media! More details about our new RSVP system can be found here.

• Announcement Regarding Our FREE Events - Starting July 1st, we will be implementing a refundable $5 deposit. More details below ⬇️

• Our line-up for August is the following:

• 2 cosplay figure drawing sessions

• 2 workshops

• 1 community event

• We are always open to Workshop Submissions as well!

Although we love hosting free workshop events, we need to implement an accountability system for our free-to-attend events going forward.

Unfortunately, we have had significant issues with people reserving free tickets and not showing up. This is especially impactful for our free events, as this means others who may have actually been able to attend were not even given the opportunity to express interest. For example, despite one of our recent events being sold out at 26 tickets, 15 ticket holders did not show up.

As a result, from July 1 onwards, there will be a $5 seat deposit for our free workshop events that will be refunded if you actually attend. If you email us at least 48 hours before the event starts that you can’t make it, your ticket will be released and your seat deposit will be refunded.

Thank you for your understanding. This policy only applies to free workshop events in our K-Town studio space that are hosted by Art Locker volunteers on Art Locker’s behalf. External hosts may have their own policies.

We look forward to continuing to host free events for the NYC art community and connecting art lovers and artists in the NYC area.

FRIDAY, August 14th, from 2:00PM - 5:00PM

• This workshop will include a presentation and 2 designing challenges! The workshop is geared for intermediate level artists who have general understanding of art & design but want to improve further! Beginners are more than welcome though!

• Because of the examples that will be shown, the workshop will be 18+ only. The host will be displaying non-sexual nudity alongside some horror concepts.

• Please bring your own drawing materials! Preferred traditional media for sketching but if you prefer tablet/ipad that’s ok!
