My left ankle rests upon the right. My heel and lower calf are pressed firmly against the footstool upon which I lie.

Legs outstretched with a tightness in my left hamstring, as the full length of my body groans under the pressure.

Bottom resting in my chair, my elbows pointing outwards and touching the arm rests as my hands lie tingling and numb in my lap, like electric fireworks exploding inside my skin. My right elbow aches like a ship pulling tight against the anchor.

A stabbing pain comes and goes in my right quad, just a few inches above the kneecap like a lighthouse warning oncoming vessels of the dangers ahead. My blood jumping and popping through these waters.

My back rests comfortably and my head is supported by a shaped pillow, hugging my neck and keeping me upright. My eyes closed as my mind a fog, dense and unnerving.

My heart throbs sending shudders down my body, my head beats agonisingly in my left frontal lobe. Pulsing, punching my skull as dust and debris of my mind crumble away.

Anchored, at rest, noticing, meditating, aching and creaking.
