When I say I love you, trust me, it is not the casual way people throw the word around.

I don’t mean I love your smile, though God knows it could stop a war inside me.

I don’t mean I love the sound of your voice, though some days it feels like the closest thing to peace I have ever known.

I don’t mean I love the way you look at me, though I have spent entire nights replaying those moments in my head.

What I mean is something deeper, something that reaches beneath beauty and touches the soul.

When I say I love you, I mean I notice the little things about you.

The way you tuck your hair behind your ear when you’re nervous.

The way your face softens when you’re talking about something you genuinely care about.

The way you act like you’re okay when you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.

I notice all of it, all of you.

Not because I’m looking for flaws, but because every detail about you feels like a privilege to witness.

When I say I love you, I mean I want to learn every version of you.

The confident woman who walks into a room and commands attention without trying.

The tired woman who just wants someone to tell her she doesn’t have to be strong today.

The excited woman who talks too fast when she’s passionate.

The vulnerable woman who wonders if she’s enough.

I want all of them, I want all of you.

I don’t just want the easy parts, or just the beautiful parts, i want every part of you. Because every part of you is beautiful.

When I say I love you, I mean I want to become the safest place your heart has ever known.

A place where you never have to earn affection, a place where you never have to compete for attention, a place where your insecurities are met with reassurance instead of judgment, a place where your silence is understood and your voice is always heard.

I want to be that person who reminds you that being loved should never feel like a battle.

When I say I love you, I mean I admire you, truly.

Not just for what you’ve accomplished, no, not at all. And also not just for how attractive you are.

But for who you are when nobody is watching, for the kindness you give when you gain nothing in return, for the strength you carry quietly, and for the way you continue to love despite everything that has tried to make you stop.

You have no idea how extraordinary that is.

When I say I love you, I mean I want to celebrate your existence, your whole being.

I want to remember the stories you tell, the dreams you whisper, the goals you haven’t achieved yet.

I want to be there when they happen.

I want to be the loudest person clapping when you win and the first person reaching for your hand when you don’t.

Because your victories matter to me, a lot, and so do your wounds.

When I say I love you, I mean I will never stop choosing you, ever.

Not just on the days when you’re glowing, or when life is easy, or when you’re dressed up and smiling for the world.

I mean on the ordinary Tuesdays, difficult mornings, days when you doubt yourself, nights when you feel unlovable.

Especially then.

Because to me, real love isn’t choosing someone when they’re perfect, it’s choosing them when they’re human.

When I say I love you, I mean I think you’re beautiful in ways mirrors could never understand.

Your beauty isn’t just in your eyes, it’s in your compassion, resilience, laughter.

It’s in the way you keep showing up for people even when life has been unfair to you.

The world notices your face, but i notice your heart, and I promise you, your heart is breathtaking.

When I say I love you, I mean I want to grow old learning new things about you.

I want to hear the same stories a hundred times and still smile, i want to memorize the shape of your dreams, i want to know which songs make you emotional and which memories make you laugh, i want years to pass and still find myself looking at you like the very first day i met you.

Because some people become familiar, but the right person remains a beautiful mystery forever and you are my Mrs Right.

When I say I love you, I mean I never want you to question your worth around me.

I want you to know, without a single doubt, that you are wanted, that you are cherished, that you are enough exactly as you are.

Not when you become better, or when you heal completely, and not when you finally achieve everything on your list.

NOW

As you are.

Today.

In this very moment.

When I say I love you, I mean I see a future and somehow every version of it feels brighter because you’re standing in it.

I see quiet mornings, shared laughter, long conversations, hands intertwined after difficult days, a thousand ordinary moments transformed into something extraordinary simply because they’re shared with you.

My type of love isn’t found in grand gestures alone, but in the decision to wake up every day and say, “Out of everyone in this world, I choose you again.”

And if you ever ask me what I mean when I say I love you, this is my answer:

I mean your happiness matters to me, your dreams matter to me, your fears matter to me, and your heart matters to me.

I mean I want to protect your peace, celebrate your growth, and remind you every day that you are deeply, completely, and undeniably loved.

Not for what you can give me.

Not for what you can do for me.

But simply because you are you.

And to me, that has always been more than enough.
