Not a Tesla App reports that Tesla plans to bring the Model Y L's actively cooled wireless charging pads to Model 3 and Model Y, increasing compatible phone charging from the current 15W limit to as much as 50W, though there are no Qi2 or retrofit details yet.

California's MyFirstEV program launched with Tesla among 14 participating automakers, giving first-time EV buyers a point-of-sale $3,500 discount on eligible new-inventory Model 3 and Model Y orders placed from August 3, 2026, while funds last. Owners in the Netherlands and Denmark are receiving free two-month FSD (Supervised) trials, including a Dutch Model 3 trial through October 2, 2026, after Tesla reported 65 million European FSD kilometers.

Sawyer Merritt said the North American Model Y L includes PowerShare vehicle-to-home output at 11.5 kW, likely requiring Powerwall 3, while actively cooled wireless phone chargers are expected in one to two years as Qi adoption improves.

Sawyer Merritt showed the North American Model Y L's new climate interface, with three separate cabin zones, quick row-selection icons, ventilated second-row captain's chairs, powered C-pillar vents for the third row, and U.S. Launch Series deliveries due in September 2026.

The Giga Texas-built Model Y L is reaching U.S. showrooms ahead of September deliveries, with 325 miles of EPA range on 19-inch wheels or 320 miles on 20-inch Uberhelix wheels, an 83 kWh battery pack, and 89 cubic feet of cargo space.

Tesla said pre-2026 Cybertruck PCS electronics fell short of reliability standards, extending coverage for 2024 and 2025 vehicles to eight years or 150,000 miles and promising reimbursement for owners who paid for replacements after AC charging failures.

Cybertruck lead engineer Wes Morrill confirmed that aluminum underbody panels were replaced with a lighter, cheaper composite after Out of Spec Detailing spotted the parts on a Cyberbeast, with owners reporting the update on builds as early as April 2026.

Ashok Elluswamy clarified that Tesla’s planned second Optimus line at Giga Texas is being built toward 10 million robots a year, following a roughly 1 million-unit Fremont line, with volume production expected sometime in 2027.

The 2026.26 Summer Update lets browser sites request access to the cabin camera and microphone for services like Google Meet, Teams, and Discord, with access limited to parked vehicles using AMD Ryzen infotainment hardware.

As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.

  • EV: Electric Vehicle

  • FSD: Full Self-Driving
