Little things mean enough

Some may not see the power in small,
until the little thing holds all.

A bike in grass, a waiting ride,
a child with wonder burning wide.

No golden stage, no grand display,
just love that found a humble way.

Pink handlebars, a dusty wheel,
small things can teach the heart to heal.

A tire pumped, a chain made right,
a father’s care in quiet light.

No speech, no crown, no loud applause,
just hands that serve without a pause.

The world wants gold, the soul wants near,
a laugh, a yard, a voice to hear.

“Are you watching?” children say,
while joy goes flying down the day.

And when the ride has kissed the ground,
and evening pulls the laughter down,

what stays is not the speed or street,
but how
Love ran beside their feet.

What stays is not the perfect sky,
but who stood close when fear rode by.

The little things become our bread,
the quiet prayers our hearts are fed.

We harvest more than moments there,
we harvest trust, we harvest care.

We harvest courage, soft and rough,
we learn that simple was enough.

A child may forget the price,
but not who made the small thing nice.

A heart may lose the date, the place,
but not the warmth, the watching face.

Because one day, when life gets tough,
they’ll know small love was large enough.

They’ll feel the grass, the wheels, the sun,
the little rides where love begun.

So never mock the simple stuff,
the little things mean more than enough.

For Love is not always thunder’s sound,
sometimes it’s wheels across the ground.

Sometimes it’s joy with dusty knees,
and home returning through the breeze.
