Y’all. As a Colombian immigrant, as a United States citizen, as a human in these Pachakuti (great change) times, I am exhausted.
I am heartbroken.
I am so angry. But more than anything, I want to be in community.
I want to honor the wisdoms that will be our guides through and out of this time in the world.
I would love to be in real-time community with all of you beginning this upcoming Sunday as we explore our relationship with Mama Coca.
Elder.
Story-keeper.
Vilified but unstoppable.
Reborn in every leaf, in every season.
My hope is for us all to lean into her rebellion, to be our own rebel hojas (leaves).
This will be a series of 4 sessions together with each other and with Mama Coca, my beloved Rebel Hoja, throughout February.
I hope you will join me.
Let’s be rebel hojas together, beloved relatives.
Our ceremonies and our traditions are our resistance. I am unapologetically Andean, and I will visibilize my lineage especially as our ancestry, our stories, our lives—like Mama Coca herself—are being vilified.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
Over 4 sessions we will connect with Mama Coca, the Rebel Hoja, her stories and wisdom, her ceremonies and eldership and through her we will deepen in our relationship to all our stories, our lands, our ancestors and our more-than-human kinships.
Open to all. If you want to give an AYNI (reciprocity) offering, you can, but it is by no means required.
