My income dipped. Here’s what I did (and what you can steal).

Teresa Crifo · Designing Clarity

Here’s the part no one talks about:
We show up online like everything’s thriving, but behind the scenes?
It’s quieter than we’d like to admit.

I want to pull back the curtain. Because this happens to more of us than you’d think. And ignoring it won’t fix it. Facing it might.

I wasn’t drowning. Projects were still coming in here and there. But things felt… slower. Lighter. Like I’d lost that consistent pipeline I rely on to feel steady.

Then I realised:
✷ Discovery calls weren’t coming through.
✷ Sign-ups for my price guide were down.
✷ Even my free resources weren’t converting like before.

The real wake-up call?
I forgot to block out my calendar for school holidays and not one booking came through. Usually I’d be rescheduling but this time, there was nothing to move.

If you’re not tracking your leads, you won’t notice the drought until it hits your bank account.

I took a step back and looked at what could’ve shifted:

1. I changed my website.
Sometimes a refresh breaks what was working before. My new design looked better, but maybe I removed the trust-building pieces that got people booking.
Your website isn’t just a vibe it’s a conversion tool. Or it’s not.

2. I’d been quiet on socials.
Between projects and life, I wasn’t as consistent with my socials. So I wasn’t top of mind anymore and that matters.
If they can’t see you, they can’t book you.

3. People are more cautious right now.
There’s a collective fatigue. People are slower to spend and more selective than ever. Funnels and freebies aren’t working like they used to.
People don’t want more noise they want deeper resonance.

Here’s what I’m doing to generate consistent leads again and what you can try too:

✷ Showing up with real value.
Not just pretty posts, but authority-building content. Sharing my process, my voice and my point of view.
You don’t need more content. You need more connection.

✷ Positioning myself clearly.
I’m making it obvious who I help and how. Specificity is the fastest way to become referable.
Generalists fade. Specialists get booked.

✷ Running small, intentional ads.
Not the sleazy kind , just amplifying the right message to the right people.
Visibility = opportunity. Paid reach is just leverage.

✷ Tweaking my messaging.
I’m revisiting my offer language, my bios, my sales page. All of it. And making sure it still reflects the level I’m at.
Your dream clients don’t ghost, they just don’t recognise you yet.

If your leads have slowed too, you’re not broken.
But you do need a fresh strategy. Not just more hustle.

This is exactly what I created the Magnetic Brand Map for, to help you clarify your brand, your message and your momentum when things feel a bit murky.

You can get that clarity fast.
You can realign and reconnect without burning it all down.
You just need the right tools and strategy that works with your energy, not against it.

Your next wave of dream clients are out there.
But they won’t find you until you fully show up.

Let’s keep this real…

Have you noticed a dip too?
What’s been working (or not working) in your world?
Let me know, I’d love to hear what’s shifted for you lately.

If this hit home, send it to a biz friend who needs to hear it.
