The beautiful parts of life thrive with attention.
Loves, children, health, gardens, friendships, careers, abilities, art.
What does that look like in an attention economy? A struggle! Financially driven systems harness algorithms and manipulative design to create dissatisfaction with what is, keep us comparing, keep us streaming, and keep us buying. They grab for all of the attention available and turn it into profit at the expense of human good.
We’re going to dive into a personal research project. We’ll try some new ways, some creative endeavors, some rage against the machine. We’ll experiment on ourselves, giving attention to parts of life that have been neglected or need a fresh breath of creativity. Perhaps you’d like to join us?
Maybe we’ll discover that what we long for is within reach. It just needs tending.
