It feels more and more like people are finding ways to go around the front door of healthcare. So in classic Techy Surgeon fashion, I used Suno write a song about it and cut a video to go with it. It is a fun, mediocre tune (I actually like the beat and the claymation boyband though).
ChatGPT Health opening to everyone should have a lot more systems and operators asking what the front door of healthcare will look like tomorrow. Here is a hint: it is not the patient portal bolted to your system of record.

I’ve spent the last year arguing that the front door to American healthcare is about to be rebuilt by whoever owns the intelligence layer at first contact. I published a long brief on it. ChatGPT Health is making its move and in contrast to ChatGPT for Clinicians, I think this is a real threat to the status quo and is part of a growing trend that is sure to disrupt the way we interact with our health information and care delivery.
