AI is very good at connecting the dots. With each model release, it becomes even better. But it’s not so effective at understanding which dots are useful in the first place. That’s where you come in, human.
I’m comfortable betting that my AI is smarter than yours only because I am so disciplined regarding the dots I feed it.
What am I talking about?
I’m not talking about task-specific context. Want your AI to write like you? Give it an example of something you wrote in the past, and instruct it to imitate that. Want even better results? Follow a workflow like this.
I’m not talking about giving your AI a list of your preferences or banned words.
I’m not talking about following someone else’s 15-step guide to customize your Claude setup.
Go deeper. Let’s get serious about this.
