This incredible PD takes 15 student-teacher teams for an intensive study of the Normandy Campaign of 1944. The Institute pays for all course materials, lodging, transport within D.C. and France, airline tickets to and from France (!!!!!), and most meals. Each Institute member is eligible for up to $300 of reimbursement for travel to and from Washington, DC.
“The Jack Miller Center will award one teacher in each state with a $5,000 prize to execute a project of his or her own design to teach the Declaration of Independence and celebrate its 250th anniversary with their students, school, or broader community. Proposed projects could include a field trip to a historic or cultural landmark, inviting guest speakers for a school-wide panel, or hosting an educational Declaration contest.”
Lodging and food is covered for these highly-rated week-long history seminars — and you get a $150 travel stipend, too!
This 4-year fellowship helps support new (year 1-3) high school teachers of Math and Science financially (up to $50,000) and with PD.
“The Sphere Summit is a full scholarship summer program for grades 5–12 educators and administrators, featuring presentations by leading policymakers, scholars, and academics, who discuss key public policy issues facing our nation today.”
There is no cost to this program which allows “educators in the United States and Europe to come together online for shared exploration and examination of a variety of educational topics, such as global collaboration, supporting diverse learning needs, parental involvement, and technology in the classroom.”
