In our most recent history, the nation has decided that Black women are NOT qualified enough to lead the nation. Still, we are qualified enough to ensure political wins & TRAIN those that are severely underqualified. I want you to truly take in the hypocrisy that this white-forward nation places on the shoulders of Black women. This nation will lift many voices and exclaim, “LISTEN TO BLACK WOMEN”, while telling Black women that we know nothing and are emotionally stunted, etc, etc. Yet, we are qualified enough to lead your whirebodied men to the proverbial political promised land and bestow on them the tuteledge required for success.
Your utter disdain for Black women and your desire to keep us locked into a position of subservient labor causes you to take more than the scenic route to a conclusion. Most of you would NOT save up for a home to simply purchase a knock-off from Temu. Therefore, why are you choosing to do this when it comes to your civil liberties and rights? Why are you willing to entrust the non- and/or underqualified with your lives? Why do you believe the temporary student would be a better alternative than that of the tenured professor?
How does one go from proclaiming that a bear is an optimal choice above a man to forcing all to choose an underqualified man instead of an overqualified woman?
Reconcile with WHY you choose to only allow Black women to lead & serve the public to a certain, contained level. Once YOU BELIEVE that a Black woman has “gotten too big for her britches”, you energize with the intent of “putting her in her place”. While still requiring her to do the work within the sphere of the position YOU contended that she was NOT competent enough for. You also consciously continue to center all conversations about the employee that you hired around the Black women you dismissed.
So proud to label yourselves as the daughters of the witches that they couldn’t burn, just to continually turn your power over to men. So eager to point out the GREAT women of yesteryear, while hindering the great women of NOW. All of this is due to the pigment that encases them. The switch-up from “I don’t see color” to singing (in unison) dog whistle hymns is astonishing. You see what you want, when you need to. You choose to see whoever decreases your workload. Especially when the work is about becoming a better person.
