End of the year reading specials
I was going through things. I mean I was entertaining my yearly silliness where I clean and organize so I can mess shit up again. HEY! At least I am consistent. Anywho, I saw a sketchbook. Then I saw this poem in that sketchbook. 2015. This was from 2015. It was not a complete journal. :D That’s so me!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this piece. Oh….photo of slug taken by me.
Slug Zen
Like a slug in a Zen garden
I must learn what this isn’t
It isn’t about time taken
It isn’t about sand on muscles
It isn’t about the urgency of movement
Like that slug in this Zen garden
I must learn what the tracks are
The tracks of others
The tracks of others’ journey
These tracks can be transversed
Like, me, the slug, we are in Zen
Sand and muscle. Slowing Flowing
Following our own map
Knowing our growing is just that
Our time. Our journey. Our path
Just like the slug in my Zen garden
