Summer, Where Did You Go?
Um…how is my son starting school already? We’ve had a whirlwind summer, and the highlight was our first family vacation since the pandemic started. Dash has always wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge, so to San Francisco we went! We were there during the week that saw the highest temperatures for Virginia and most of the rest of the country, but in San Francisco I almost bought a winter scarf. It was COLD. Kind of a nice break from the extreme heat, but when I was shivering in a sweater and jacket, I wished for just a bit of humidity.
Never Go Home Giveaway
“Equal parts brutal and tender, Never Go Home is a fast-paced page-turner with a bad-ass heroine.”
That’s what I said about Christopher Swann’s latest novel, and now you have a chance to win a signed copy of this amazing book.
To enter the giveaway, email me at tara@taralaskowski.com. Please use Never Go Home Giveaway as your subject line and tell me a favorite female character you enjoy reading or watching.
To find out more about Christopher and keep up with his book news, please follow him on Twitter @swannyauthor. You can also read my Q&A with him about all the things that terrify him (spoiler: sharks, sharks, sharks).
Entries will be accepted until noon EST on Saturday, August 27, 2022. One winner will be drawn randomly and will have 48 hours to respond before I choose another name. Please note I can only send books to addresses within the continental U.S.
Congrats to Sharon P. for winning the Under Her Care giveaway from my last newsletter!
Are you making your list and checking it twice?
Your list of spooky books to read for the fall, that is.
Don’t forget to add The Mother Next Door to your list! (The moms on Ivy Woods Drive will love you forever—or at least until you betray them.)
I compiled some of my other favorite books set on Halloween as well—take a look over at Crime Reads.
