As my once a decade buy every headphone/amp/dac then sell all but a couple adventure continues. I'm testing out the HIFIman 1000 Stealth vs the Heddphone D1. The D1 is the reviewer darling vs the Stealth that no one even talks about. But the D1 has yet to wow me in any way while the Stealth has several times. Not sure what the reviewers are even caring about these days.

Anker has their (refurb) TB5 dock over on eBay at $160 (probably a $10 coupon too, depending on your account). They also have the Make Offer button enabled but if anyone actually gets them to accept the offer let me know. Pretty compelling TB5 dock, I think only one that has internal PSU. Just the other day I was making fun of the silly audiophiles recommending Thunderbolt cables to connect to their USB Dacs. Today I find myself connecting my USB Dac via a Thunderbolt cable. 🧐 To be fair I only did it because I didn't feel like digging around for the right size cable in my USB cable box and had a 3M Apple thunderbolt cable sitting right there, but still.

I think I got branded emails setup. Never got a you are fully approved email and had to reapply for whatever reason, but it’s showing me a green dot. Still haven’t seen an actual image though and not even sure if I should.

Noise cancelling headphones with huge ass batteries and usb-c are great for travelling. Unless you have them plugged in for a few hours and it vampires away your entire phones battery.
