“I had forgotten about how calm I felt learning about long-term projects, ones that stretch into the future, ones that their initiators have to trust other people to continue, to finish.”
Here is the 42nd and final audio instalment of me reading my new book, It’s Time: A Chronomemoir: Part 42: July 23th 2019. This is not the end of the book - it’s roughly half way through - but this is the last piece that I’m going to be reading and publishing here - which perhaps chimes in with the quote I’ve chosen above! I’ve really enjoyed doing this, but it feels like the right time to stop now, as the book veers away from its diary format. Thank you so much if you’ve been listening for the past seven months or so, I hope you’ve enjoyed it too.
If you’re new here, you might like to listen to the other instalments, you’ll find the links below, or in your episode list if you’re using a podcast app.
If you’d like to read the rest of the book, for the month of July 2026, the book’s birthday month, I am offering copies through my own website with a 20% discount, click here https://taniahershman.com/product/new-book-its-time-a-chronomemoir/ and use discount code TimeBirthday20. I post worldwide and am happy to sign it, too!
About The Book
The book - a “hybrid creative non-fiction” about what Time might be and what it’s like for me to be a creature living inside time and to have time inside me, following every direction my curious brain takes me - is loosely structured as a diary, and I will released new instalments on the day they appear in the book. There are sometimes several days, or even weeks, in between sections. Find out more about the book, published by Guillemot Press in July 2025, here and read the text of the first few pages: https://taniahershman.com/its-time-a-chronomemoir/
