We Didn't Go Broke, We Are Just Over Here Living.

“You guys have been quiet! Everything okay?”
“It’s been like months no social updates - what’s going on with you guys these days?”
“I was wondering why I can’t see your page anymore.”

I promise I haven’t been in hiding.

We are all healthy. We didn’t go broke and lose our portfolio or go back to 9-5 jobs. Life is actually really, really good right now.

I’ve just been offline.

After deactivating Instagram in December and removing most apps from my phone, I’ve been living slowly.

I’m reading my twenty-fourth novel this year and have nearly done a complete wardrobe upgrade that started with an AI personal color analysis and concluded with “Project Glow” (a mission to finally give myself the glow-up I deserve since having two babies).

I have begun background acting work for commercials and have taken up power yoga.

For the first time in my adult life, I’m not growing a business.

I’m not highly productive and optimized for growth.

I’m raising two little girls, figuring out in real time how to unschool them, and falling asleep reading a few afternoons each week. (Love a good nap!)

I’m also planning a short September trip and an 11-week trip in January 2027!

Life is being felt, lived and loved.

There is no rush or hurry, just a fun summer bucket list I’m looking forward to (blueberry picking!).

Feels a lot like the freedom I’ve always been chasing.

I want to continue writing in the Freedom Diaries, but I’m constantly negotiating how much to share.

Since completing Project Incognito in December and deleting our kids' faces and my finance blogs off the internet, I’ve been unsure how to move forward.

Part of me loves being fully transparent and sharing everything — numbers, decisions, what we’re earning and more.

I know how much trust that creates and how cool it is to see behind the scenes of someone’s life.

The other part of me is nervous about our life being open to the public.

My husband and I are currently working on a list of what information we are open to sharing and what we are not.

Our “line in the sand”.

But I want to write more often. So today, I’ll start here by giving you this quick update.

Since we won’t be travelling until January, what would be fun for you to read about?

If you could take a minute to vote on the poll below or leave a comment, that would be helpful.

Honestly, my favorite topic is money and investing… I’m just figuring out how to navigate it.

I’m looking forward to reconnecting with you as a reader again.

It’s been a while, and I feel like I’ve changed as a person since regularly writing.

Happy to help.

Hope you’re doing well too.
