Try something beyond Product Hunt (and Twitter)

I still couldn’t believe it that I got the badge! Such a great social proof to have!

Then what now…?

Two weeks later, traffic to AutoRepurpose has died down.

OK this is a typical thing to happen when you launch your app on PH.

It’s actually $0…dang.

I think I need to try more things. PH launch was just one of them.

What I learned from my PH launch is:

• PH launch is for a good backlink and a badge

• PH users may not be your target segments

I didn’t know what to do next, so I asked Nico for advice.

As a result he took a 27-minute video for me! He just made my day.

I needed to first validate whether my idea is something people’d actually pay for.

So Nico suggested I switch from a subscription model to a one-time payment model to lower the friction for users to pay.

If users won't even pay for a one-time purchase, who's going to pay for a subscription?

I made the change 3 days ago and I finally got a sweet Stripe notification last night.

Ok at least a person paid money for AutoRepurpose.

So now I need to try different channels.

As a start I created the first TikTok video for AutoRepurpose (Thanks Amit for pushing me to do this)

I know this is far from the perfect one. Lmk if you have feedback 🙏

For the last 7 days: the number of unique visitors: 439

the number of new users: 60

So the conversion rate ≈ 13.7% if I’m not wrong.

I need to get higher conversion rate and then more traffic I guess…?

I started to upload videos again since I joined delulu club by Maricris.

I was interested in creating content but didn't have much time, so I decided to make videos in the Study with Me genre, which I had done a bit before.

This basically involves filming myself working, so there's no need to think about a script. The only effort required is video editing.

Thanks to many people viewing my profile during the Product Hunt launch, my YouTube channel also grew at the same time.

• The day before the PH launch: 151 subs

• Right now: 196 subs

I haven't posted any new videos in the meantime. Clearly, this growth is thanks to PH.
