August 2026

Hello hello! I recently decided to update a lot of my site. There are wayyy too many to list in the RSS entry, so you’ve been directed here.
I’ve made the decision to archive my OC page, as I have no desire to do anything with them anymore. The memories I had with them years ago are dear to my heart, and it was fun to relive them when I did. But I think they should stay in the past. I’ve not gotten motivation to continue the story I was writing either.
I’ve also archived my Ichigo page. As you can tell from the section’s neglect, I’ve lost interest in dolls. I’ll always love Ichigo forever, but I made the decision to leave her at my parents’ house once I moved. She’ll just be collecting dust where I live now. It was pure coincidence that this came around the time Den of Angels announced its closure... and now I'm publishing this on the day of its closure LMAO. Don't worry about this sad event though - I have added gift art of her from Arachne and Amy!
Speaking of gifts, Flonne gave me a new 32x32 button of my one and only love, Zayne. Check it out on the links page!
Aaand speaking of Zayne, the LADS shrine has had an update. It won’t be archived, but it will remain inactive, as you’ll so read.
The books section has also been folded into its own page in articles. I just don’t read them enough anymore to justify keeping a whole section for it. I was in the midst of reading Project Hail Mary but I soon dropped the reading habit I promised to keep.
A new article has been posted – the third update to my hair routine, for any of those that still care.
As per always, a new record shrine update log has been posted. Updates to my collection too. I’ll need to take new photos again sometime...
I really dislike how garbage and unusable most of my site is on mobile, but I’m not assed to play around with it. Maybe in another year or so I’ll revamp.
I’m also intending on revamping my yume shrine, but it’s more effort than I’m willing to put in right now. I know I know, it’s been in the cards for ages, but I gotta keep procrastinating okay!!!

Oh you want a life update? Well, there’s not much to be said tbh. Things are trucking along as per normal. I feel like I’ve covered most of my major life events in the updates above. My birthday was last month, and while it wasn’t amazing, I still felt treasured and loved, which is the most important thing! My relations with coworkers is still swell. One of them has been introducing me to black and death metal recently. I’m not sure if I can say I’m enjoying it per se. I’m just really picky about what I like. There comes a certain point where it all just sounds the same, really. I do recommend Ripper’s album “Towards Rebirth” though. Now that’s a ripper of an album, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

June 2026

Well! If you told me last year I'd end up updating my site once every two months or so, I would have... been kinda proud of myself!? After all, it could only mean that my life has gotten better offline! I'm definitely so much better off than I was back then. I've settled into a rhythm now. Still haven't achieved a lot of goals haha, but I'm discovering new things I like doing instead!

I recently started a small garden. I don't have a yard so I need to keep my plants in containers. So far I just have some garlic and tulips. The former are growing wonderfully, whereas I have to wait a little longer for my tulips to sprout. I also have some houseplants - an African Violet and a Sedum succulent. I think these make better surrogate children than pets, I can't lie. Incredibly low maintenance for even someone as lazy as me. While I'd love to expand my garden, I've decided the time for me to move out of here is sooner than anticipated, so I'm keeping my possessions down to a minimum.

My coworker and I often go stargazing/aurora chasing. I bought a telescope that was cheap, but still pretty good for the price. Seeing the moon that close... wow. Truly nothing compares. My coworker let me look through his telescope too, and I saw all sorts of things - planets, star clusters, nebulae, even a comet! I'm so lucky to live in an area with little light pollution. I want to someday travel to an area about 5 hours away where there is absolutely no light pollution. How beautiful will the Milky Way be! I also saw my first aurora a few months ago. It was a faint pink colour, but still cool to see nonetheless! I'm constantly on aurora watch now. Maybe one day I'll be able to see the bright green, pink, and even red hues dancing across the sky.

Apart from that... little progress on the social life front. I have been making an effort to invite people out to places. I once invited three people out to a quiz night, and they all rejected! I went by myself anyway, but god damn, that was not the self esteem boost I needed. I have to keep reminding myself that making friends takes time and patience. Plus, I'm friendly with most people at work. The banter in my team is immaculate, and I have a regular chat buddy at lunch. That counts for something, right? Plus, the original goal was "Have a satisfactory relationship with my coworkers and possibly community." I'm definitely succeeding with that!

March 2026

Whoops, I skipped a month! Just kidding, that was on purpose. Last month was pretty uneventful, aside from me getting my full driver’s license. I also just didn’t feel like talking! Which is crazy because that’s the entire point of this site, right? Well whatever, here’s an update.

Work is going well, but I’m definitely not staying here long term. I don’t see an opportunity to further my career here, seeing as a) there are a lot of senior people with no perceived intent to leave; and b) any promotion will be given to the guy I’m shadowing (and deservedly so). Moreover, the culture can be... a little too relaxed here, such that I’m taken aback by the things that get said. “Audacious” is the most watered-down term I’d use to describe it. I don’t think I will thrive here, so once my contract runs out, I’ll likely move regardless of what’s offered.

I’ve been purchasing some audio equipment recently. I got a DAC which finally allows me to listen to lossless audio the way it’s meant to be heard. I also got a Bluetooth amplifier, which improves the quality of Bluetooth audio. And lastly, I got some wired headphones, finally allowing me to throw my garbage Skullcandys out. Anything but a phono preamp for my turntable! But it’s alright. I won’t accrue too much new equipment seeing as I’ll probably be moving in a year.

Making friends is, to no surprise, difficult. I have a bunch of acquaintances and am participating in social club stuff. I even volunteered for a family day being hosted at work soon. I crushed on two eligible men, but one is wayyyyy out of my league, and the other is not boyfriend material at all. “But you shouldn’t date your coworkers!” Girl, if you knew how many couples existed at my workplace, you’d have a heart attack. So long as we’re in different departments and don’t see each other more than once a week, IMO it should be fine. But it’s not a priority for me at all.

Well, next month is shaping up to be eventful. I’m returning home for a while, I have two work trips one week after the other, and I have the aforementioned family day. Thank god I’ll have a long weekend afterwards to decompress.

If you're waiting on a reply from me, apologies! My energy has shifted elsewhere, but I'll get back to you soon.

January 2026

An interesting month has passed! I've had a baptism by fire of sorts several times at my new job. The guy I'm shadowing was away several times, and I had to cope without him. I also went on a week-long work trip, which was great! I felt like I got to know some of my coworkers a lot more during this trip. I hope they feel the same about me too.

I've made a conscious effort to write more in my private diaries. For about a year, I would only really write several sentences. I think that's a side effect of the Hobonichi 5-year journal, where you more or less have 10 lines to write about your day. Or maybe 2025 was so boring and depressing that I just couldn't be assed to write! But now that I'm writing longer diatribes in a separate diary, I can feel my freedom of expression coming back. And weirdly it's coming at the expense of this diary you're reading right now. I've already gotten everything out of my system, such that I'm reduced to summaries and meta comments here. Moreover, I don't feel inclined to air out my work gossip out in the open (which believe me, there is a LOT to be had here). I think I'm finally implementing a near-full separation of IRL and online.

But no, seriously. Things are better than they've ever been. I feel like I've said this so many times lol, but it's true. My mother keeps asking me several times a week, "Are you still liking it there?" Which is really code for "Do you want to come back home?" It's too early to say for sure, but at least for the next year or so, this place IS my home. I strongly feel like I'm gonna hate returning to my parents' home in April lol. Four days might end up feeling like four lifetimes...

No media table this month, as I've been too busy to try new things. The music I've been listening to lately is mostly the shit I was dancing to as a single-digit child. I will say that I've been watching One Punch Man though. I have only just started the second season though, so please don't reveal to me any of the bullshit that happens in season three. Let me experience it for myself.
