Tbh, I woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday. To be even more honest, if I knew it was Sunday I probably still would not have a newsletter ready. I really want to be the overly prepared self I used to be in my old life. But there are just simply not enough hours anymore, not to mention energy.
See the thing is, I have so many ideas. I’ve always been an idea person. I just don’t have time to execute them these days. I get super excited about a new series, project, even just an essay and bam, I get an email from my lawyer and boom, my neck tightens to the point that I can’t even chew my pepita seeds I keep at my desk for added protein.
I do believe the universe gives you signs when you need them. Today, right before I left the beach with my son to drop him off, I saw this on the sand:
Even if it’s a shitty day. Yay.
I’m too tired to write anything else tonight. Here is the outfit formula I’ve been living in recently that has made me feel good on every hot day, yay day or not.
Denim shorts + tan belt + white top + a gold accessory
Seriously, it’s that simple. I love Abercrombie Curve Love shorts because they’re tighter in the waist, roomier in the hips. I wear a 26. I’d say they run pretty tts.
I picked up this tan belt for $20.
I rotate between boat neck tanks, white tees, and my fave ribbed tank.
And for accessories either an earring or a pendant necklace (usually my evil eye or a vintage ring from my dad).
For footwear, it depends on the activity. Sometimes sneakers, sometimes a flat sandal. My custom Amanu ones are a forever fave. These newer Sam Edelman strappy flats have also been in heavy rotation.
It’s late. Depending where you are, you might be asleep as I write this and reading Monday morning. Either way, I hope you have an awesome week.
♡, Sydne
Thanks for spending your Sunday with me. I took the paywall off my posts for the summer, but if you want to support my work, I’m running an end of summer special on annual subscriptions: $60/year before the price goes back up in the fall.
