I hope everyone has had a great summer! Every year it seems the time flies by, and before we know it, school is back in session. We are currently getting the buses ready to go for another great school year. Drivers will finalize their routes before the start of school and will be contacting parents directly to share bus schedules and pickup times. Our drivers are ready and excited to pick up your child on the first day of school. If your child will not be riding the bus that day, please notify the driver or contact me at the bus garage.
Morning Drop-off 
and Transfers
• Bus drop-off at the High School will continue on the Northside between 7:35 and 7:45 a.m.
• If your child needs a ride to the Elementary School, please have them at the Northside of the High School by 7:40 a.m. for transfer.
• Elementary students who ride their bus from home do not need to switch buses at the High School.
Students riding from the Elementary to the High School in the morning should wait on the East side of the Elementary. Buses will begin arriving around 7:35 a.m. to drop off students. In-town bus stops are available at Oakwood Ave and McKinney’s for both pickup and drop-off.
Afternoon Transfers
• Students needing a ride from the Elementary to the High School after school can ride any bus to the High School.
• Students needing to travel across town from the Elementary after school should ride Bus #5.
Extra Riders: We will continue to allow extra riders (e.g., for birthday parties or sleepovers). Please notify the driver or bus garage ahead of time so arrangements can be made.
This year, parents can contact the bus garage directly through the school at 320-843-2710, extension 1129. If your student will not be riding the bus, please call the bus garage or email me at apagel@benson.k12.mn.us so the driver knows not to wait at your stop.
