Rides, games, 4-H kids and their animals, fair food, 4-H project exhibits, and quality free entertainment will all be available at the Swift County Fair which gets underway Wednesday in Appleton.
Headlining this year’s entertainment is country star Sammy Kerkshaw. Kerkshaw’s hits include “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” which hit number one on the country charts. He also had popular songs with “Third Rate Romance,” “Cadillac Style,” “Love of My Life,” and ‘Haunted Heart.”
Kershaw will be performing Saturday at 9 p.m. and will be followed by North Dakota rock band Rucus.
Wednesday night The White Sidewalls perform hits of the 1950s and 1960s. Thursday night is Lizzie Hofer who blends rock, country, pop and folk music. The Ranch Rodeo is also Thursday night.
Friday’s music features FireHouse, a hard rock band from Richmond, VA, followed by Mid-Flight.
Saturday starting at 3 p.m. will be the annual rib fest and craft beer tasting event. Saturday also features the Demo Derby at 5:30 p.m.
This is the Swift County’s 128th annual fair.
