I went a little mia this week on substack. But back to it!

We had the most special time together as a family. It was almost sacred. Like, the kind that the best moments were felt but not significant from the outside. It was overhearing conversations, watching cousins giggle and care for each other, watching my oldest be an Uncle, and my daughter be the best Auntie. It was being at the crossroad as people came and went throughout the week.

Funny, I thought so much about my mom this week. I used to wonder why on our family reunions she spent so much time back at the house. I think I get it now. It was the spot that everyone at some point came through! Exactly how I felt!

I didn’t want it to end. And truthfully it didn’t end as ceremoniously as I would have liked. I left first! I flew home from Nantucket, while everyone else took separate ferries to drive home. I really wanted one last moment of everyone together on the slow ferry. A final 2 hours of OUR TIME before separating.

But, I have a work conference next week and head out early Monday. And so, I flew, some ended up on fast ferries and some on the slow.

Big shoutout to my daughter and her husband for driving home with Dougie!

The home we rented was spectacular. We sort of blew it out of the water on this trip, but it suited our family perfectly. You can check it out on VRBO here.

Well, back to it! Check out the sales going on, the top 5 sellers this week, and a few Walmart new arrivals.

FYI: anything underlined is a link, tap on it and it’ll take you to the retailer to shop. Every picture is also linked to my LTK to shop the entire look.

Have a great week.

Each week I find the good, the sweet in a moment or season that is hard, challenging, nasty or difficult.

While my Sweetfringebenefit is typically on thursdays now? I’ll drop one right here.

Nantucket has a special spot in our family’s history. Our first visit was as a young married couple still stinging from a miscarriage. Over the next 10 years our trips were part family reunion, part couple’s getaway, part friends traveling together and just family trips. But it has always been magical.

It warmed my heart to hear how many memories my children had of those days, and that they had shared those memories with families of their own now.

Honestly? I’m in mourning. I don’t want it to be over. I don’t want to be going to a work conference that I usually am so excited about. I just want to be back in a pretty house that’s surrounded by hydrangeas and family.

Today’s Sweetfringebenefit is knowing that all the money spent was worth it. I rarely have buyers remorse. Our last big trip was to Disney, and I loved that too. But Nantucket? We really had a week being insulated and surrounded by love. That is a Sweetfringebenefit.

Thanks for reading! This post is public so feel free to share it.
