Hi!
Wrapping up the week. Have to admit, the creative juices aren’t flowing yet and I don’t feel like I’m in a groove.
But practicing having it all together. The Sweetfringebenefit is sort of a reflection of my headspace. I think it ended up making sense in the end.
Oh hey, big sale at Bauble Bar has started with 25% off our favorite necklaces and 20% of these awesome custom bags. They tell me this is the best sale until holiday.

Each week I find the good, the sweet in a moment or season that is hard, challenging, nasty or difficult.
Lots of swirling thoughts this week. From unsettled details of our big family vacation to friendship to business decisions, I realized that the swirling thoughts certainly are different these days than 10 years ago.
I’m not mad about it.
10 years ago, I was in the midst of my mother failing, my Dad had passed, children moving in to adulthood that I hadn’t quite come to terms with, staring down more college tuitions and doubts about retirement finances.
Swirling thoughts when I’d be trying to fall asleep.
So between the crazy thoughts and unclosed loops in my brain, and hormones, it was a cocktail for crazy. And I felt it.
That continued for several years. Different unsettled issues would present, and it was more lost sleep, more watching find my friends (worst invention ever) and more trying to come to terms with each season I moved through.
So I started finding the Sweetfringebenefits of the changing seasons of life. Sometimes it was just gratitude that I had time for a bike ride, sometimes it was acknowledging still having my Mom here even though it wasn’t really her anymore.
Sometimes Sweetfringebenefits were surface level, like being able to color my grays and feel better. And sometimes they were the sweetest of the sweet, like a grandson who taught me that I had more capacity to love than any worry in my brain could overshadow.
As my children settled, I settled. I worried less. But before that, I had to just love and let go. Let go of control I never had.
So I’ll take the logistics swirling through my brain these days of a family vacation.
I hope that the big worries are over? But I figure they probably aren’t. I think we are just in-between seasons.
So this week’s Sweetfringebenefit is learning to see the in-between. I’m going to bask in the inconsequential swirlings that are going on in my head. The ones that don’t seem to have life consequences or relationship landmines.
If you’re going through it, girl, I understand. Sometimes it just takes time. And while you wait for it, look for any good, any sweet of the season you are in.
I do make a small commission (called affiliate commission) if you make a purchase through my links at no additional cost. The brand pays for it, think of it as coming out of their marketing budget.
Travel on the brain! Before I headed to Argentina, I put together these 4 elevated travel outfits. While I don’t think there should be a dress code for travel, I do feel better when my travel look is both comfortable and chic. And these definitely check the boxes,
Left: A bit sporty but still put together, these endless pants can go from a business meeting to a hiking trail. And this soft button down is lovely. My crossbody can be adjusted to a fanny pack.
Left Center: These trousers are a new line at Spanx specifically for travel. And this structured denim jacket is updated and chic.
Right Center: A viral wrinkle free but spendy pull on pant. I haven’t heard any negative reviews on these. I love a cashmere sweater over my shoulders, this one is lightweight and can slip easily on a long haul flight.
Right: An affordable option to the chic drawstring pant craze, these also come in black. Grab the matching cardigan too.
New carryon suitcase that moves easily
These wrinkle free pants that look as good after the flight as they do before

Have a great weekend and I’ll check in Sunday afternoon. I’m still hoping to send this Sweetfringebenefit out on Thursdays, but couldn’t make it happen this week.
