Surprise!

Last week I talked about shifting my Substack to Friday. Well, here I am! I think what I’m going to do is split it in two and give that a try.

The Sweetfringebenefit will be in Friday’s post. And whatever else I feel like sharing. Ha! I’ll have a few favorites of the week and outfits I’m loving on Sunday.

I needed to shift the big lift from Sunday because I was spending all afternoon working on it! Just not disciplined enough to put it together days in advance. Not yet at least. (Read the Sweetfringebenefit below to understand)

Lets get to it!

Each week I find the good, the sweet in a moment or season that is hard, challenging, nasty or difficult.

I’ve received a lot of advice this week. Some of it made me cringe. Refer to last week’s Sweetfringebenefit to understand a little more fully.

I am anything but retired. (But its just verbiage)

But trying to navigate turning my side gig in to my main gig had been a bit difficult. I don’t want to work harder. I want to work smarter. And I haven’t quite figured out how to do that yet.

I have kept pondering on one of the messages. She talked about being ok with empty time. Empty space.

At first I thought, no! I need to bust it. See what I can do.

The next thought was…I was supposed to get a little more sleep and here I am at 1:00 am writing posts (the other night).

Like many parts of a new season, it’s complicated. And one thing I’ve learned, it takes time to arrive to a new normal.

And so maybe you need that reminder? I know I sure do.

Having experienced that many times whether it was children heading off to college, a new job, a loss of a job, a change in friend group, moves and caring of aging parents, it takes time. And knowing the new normal comes is the Sweetfringebenefit this week.

First up, splitting my newsletter. There will probably still be a Sunday newsletter, but abbreviated. The Sweetfringebenefit will be in the Friday (or midweek) post. I like the idea, hope you do too!

I provide links to sales that I’m shopping and think you’ll want to as well. I do make a small commission (called affiliate commission) if you make a purchase through my links at no additional cost. The brand pays for it, think of it as coming out of their marketing budget.

Just as a reminder, LTK is the best way for you to browse my outfits with shoppable links. Get the free app and follow me here.

Have a great week!

Nanette
