Suzi Nadeau · The Suzi Says So Scoop

Good morning 🤍

This was one of those weeks that was so good and so long I’m not totally sure how it’s already time to write this. Wednesday morning, all four kids went back to school — only the girls were around for pictures on the porch, which feels about right for our house — and everyone came home saying they had a genuinely good first day. I keep looking at that photo of Parker and Poppy and trying to wrap my head around the fact that my kid is a senior. A SENIOR. Someone hold me.

We also, predictably, dove straight into some girl drama this week. When you’ve got an almost-13-year-old and a 17-year-old under one roof, that’s just a Tuesday. Someone always ends up feeling left out of something, and I keep reminding both of them — and myself, honestly — that getting left out never feels good, but it’s worth looking at those moments with a clear head instead of a wounded one. I saw something this week that said, and I’m paraphrasing, that the moments we get left out of are sometimes the moments God is protecting us from something bigger. I don’t totally know why that landed the way it did, but it did, and it’s something I think we’ll all keep leaning on around here.

Even with the drama, I went to bed at the end of the week grateful. Grateful for our people who actually show up, grateful for the ones who love us instead of just liking our posts, and grateful — genuinely — that I get to be these girls’ mom. They are awesome little humans, even when they’re driving each other (and me) a little crazy.

The other thing I can’t stop thinking about: LTKCon is in 3 days. For anyone newer here — LTKCon is the one time a year every creator on the LTK platform gets together in one place for a few days of brand meetings, panels, and a lot of “wait, YOU’RE a real person too?” energy. Last year was my first year and it was a lot — overwhelming, in the best way. I made some genuinely incredible friends that week, and I cannot wait to see them again. This isn’t a complaint, but what I do for a living confuses people more often than not (I’m sure that’s true across every industry), so it is just so nice to be in a room full of people who get it. I’ll be documenting the whole thing on Instagram, so come along for the ride.

The most fall outfit possible, without dying in the heat — that was the assignment this week. Ruti pants (if you’re already sick of hearing of them, sorry, but I am obsessed), a $20 top from Target, and the kind of statement necklace (also from Target!) that turns “I put on a t-shirt” into “I got dressed.” One outfit carried me through drop-off, lunch with a friend, and after-school pickup, which is basically the dream.

Shop the Look

I’ve been dumping every unfinished thing rattling around in my head — the email I haven’t sent, the appointment I keep meaning to book, the conversation I’m avoiding — straight into Claude. No structure, just “here’s everything I haven’t finished and why it’s stuck,” and then I ask it to help me figure out what actually needs my attention today. Some things take 30 seconds to close out. Some I realize I never needed to do in the first place. Either way, getting it OUT of my head has been the real hack. If you try nothing else this week, open your AI of choice and just start listing your open loops.

Air fryer chicken cutlets — and I mean that as a whole meal-planning philosophy, not just a recipe. Chicken breasts pounded thin, egg wash, panko with garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, sprayed with oil, 400 degrees for 4–5 minutes a side. One cook session turns into roasted veggies and mac one night, rice and stir fry the next, red sauce and spaghetti after that. Lazy girl dinner planning at its finest.

My brain is a little too full this week to have found a new obsession, so I’ll just say this: if you grabbed the Super 7 Dinner Decider last week, I hope it’s already made your Tuesday nights easier. And if you missed it, it’s still sitting there waiting for you — 7 real dinners from my rotation (including that air fryer chicken up there), the hack that makes each one work, and the grocery list already built. $19, and it’s yours whenever.

Get the Super 7 Dinner Decider

That’s the scoop for this week. Deep breath before the chaos begins again.

P.S. — If you’ve ever wondered what LTKCon actually is, or what a week in this job really looks like, stick around on my Stories starting Tuesday. I’ll be showing all of it, awkward moments included.
