We Don’t Agree on Everything but We Both Swear by These

We recently went on vacation, and before leaving, Em made her usual rounds “shopping” my closet for anything that looked good. It never fails - we laugh every time because somehow she always leaves with the best finds. This time she walked away with my favorite button up, my new earrings, and the beach hat I was actually planning to bring. She could have been packing her own bag, but apparently mine is more fun.

Nobody tells you this part about having a daughter who becomes your best friend: you start sharing everything. The restaurants, the trips, the style finds, the wellness obsessions, the beauty essentials, and apparently, the exact same shopping cart. These are the things we both swear by. No gatekeeping, no fluff, all winners.

1. Best summer appetizer! Peaches, tomatoes, burrata and basil is our family favorite. We use really good olive oil and a pinch of sea salt - so good

2. These look like Manolos - The perfect pop of color, and flattering on your foot. Under $100

3. Paisley is trending, and this new cool brand is everywhere. We visited their pop-up in Saint Tropez and tried on many things. This pouch comes in several colors, and it’s handy for all the things you need with you!

4. Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa is one of the top three hotels we’ve ever visited. A real gem on the island of Ischia, it’s one of our highest recommendations

5. We both own these viral pants and wear them at home or when traveling. They are machine washable, don’t wrinkle, and come in multiple colors and lengths. A true must-have

6. Just ordered this new bucket hat we’ve both been eyeing — it’s new and updated, perfect for our upcoming sunny vacation

7. A makeup artist once told us this is like an “Instagram filter for your face.” We’ve been using it for years and will never go back!

8. Add a feather pin to any tank, tee or button-up. Em got many questions about this pretty pin she wore (on my shirt!!)

9. This went viral on TikTok for a reason! Smells amazing and makes your skin feel super hydrated compared to normal body washes

10. Mother jeans we wear all the time. Love the faded wash. These are a staple in our closets!

11. Dedcool laundry detergent. Em recommended it and now even my husband is hooked - he’s the laundry guy in our house! He loves it so much he even bought the dryer sheets. It really does smell good … and the packaging is 🤍

12. Both of us use this dermaplaning tool. It removes peach fuzz and dead skin, and makes a big difference when you apply makeup. Not to mention the glow you get!

13. The most versatile summer top and one of Emily’s most-worn pieces. She owns the Madewell version (pretty blue color here) that looks identical for under $100

14. Can you guess which of these handbags (above) is the splurge vs save? The Amazon copy is so good, it’s hard to tell the difference

15. 10/10! This aluminum-free deodorant is incredible. It smells like Le Labo’s Santal 33 and it’s clean beauty as well

16. This is our favorite PJ brand. We both brought these on our last trip. They’re lightweight, flowy and super soft. Wait til you see how many pretty prints there are to choose from

17. This striped cashmere sweater is an all-time favorite (comes in several colors) and we both own two!

18. There’s a reason this is one of the best-selling blouses ever — it fits everyone and it comes in many colors, including a new polka dot I just purchased.
