Good morning, friends! This is the day the Lord hath made, and we shall rejoice in it, amen?
My latest fiction novel, Della and Darby, launches today. You can walk right into your local bookstore and pick up a copy. If you’ve been waiting to purchase the audiobook, you can do that right now, too. I narrated my non-fiction works of Can’t Make This Stuff Up! and How May I Offend You Today?, but let me tell you that narrating fiction is a whole new ball game. I’m going to keep that in mind while working on my current book. Narrating conversations between more than three characters had me nine kinds of confused, but by the grace of God, I managed to pull it off.
You can really help me today by doing several things. Please keep in mind that being an author is the equivalent of owning a small business. I don’t sell books unless my readers get the word out. So, I’m completely indebted to you!
A quick, easy task that means the world to me is to leave a 5-star review for the book on Amazon. Even before you read it, you can post something like, “Just got my copy! Can’t wait to read it!” But please don’t post a review that says something like, “Just got my copy! Read the first line and hated it! It’s going in the Goodwill pile.” You can just keep that opinion to yourself, please and thank you.
I totally kid. Kind of.
You can also post a photo of the book and tag any of my platform pages. I’m on Facebook, IG, Twitter and TikTok. I’ll be sharing your posts throughout the next several days!
Anything you can do on social media to help get the word out about Della and Darby today is extremely beneficial. Please truly know that I am incredibly thankful and humbled by your support and taking the time to do these things.
If you’ve followed me for more than a second, you know being a published author is my dream come true. I’ve spoken many times about praying this very thing into fruition when I was a chubby kid wearing a Hypercolor t-shirt and jelly shoes. God has been so faithful to grant the desires of my heart. All for His glory and never my own.
Again, thank you for your efforts in helping me succeed.
I truly hope you enjoy Della and Darby. Writing it was a long process with many months of edits. I sort of have a love/hate relationship with the story, but I hope you love it more than you hate it.
Talk soon.
God bless.
Susannah
