On June 29, we have a Full Moon in the cardinal earth sign Capricorn. Ruled by Saturn, this sign’s nature is focused on advancement through hard work, ambitions towards leaving a lasting impact, material stability, traditional values and a strong foundation of principles. Capricorn doesn’t play, and can have a penchant for the darker aspects of life that others shy away from.
The Moon is in an Arabic Lunar Mansion called the Lucky One of the Slaughterers or the Fortunate Assassin, viewed as favorable for healing, traveling, and resolving difficulties. It is also connected with liberation through sacrifice, as well as both physical and spiritual liberation and progress, but not without pressure. The mansion’s planets are Saturn and Venus. Both currently in fire signs (Saturn in Aries and Venus in Leo), the mansion’s expression is clearly headed towards personal liberation and dealing with what limits or “imprisons“ us. Saturn in stubborn, individualistic and impatient Aries makes a T-square with the Moon in earthy Capricorn and the Sun in emotional Cancer, creating a tension that can be resolved by logical, rational and cool-headed compromise instead of withdrawal or blindly charging forward. When clarity sets in, this lunar mansion is very auspicious for quick and goal-oriented movement that can help us resolve an uncomfortable situation without sacrificing our wellbeing.
Symbolizing the closing of a chapter or something that is about to be finalized and healed, we could find that we have gained a lot of personal power in the life area (house) where the Moon and Sun transit our own chart.
