The author of Hebrews has been challenging his readers not to quit in their Christian walk, but rather to stay the course. He challenges them to look back to how far they’ve come and look ahead to Christ’s return and the rewards that are coming. Don’t quit... Quitting is not an option in the Christian life. If we quit, we reveal that we truly did not have a relationship with God. We spurn the precious work of Jesus on the cross and we will face God’s dreadful wrath. If we quit... ...we prove ourselves God’s adversaries ...we desecrate the precious sacrifice of Jesus ...we face the wrath of the living God
