I’m excited to invite you to a 2026 planning and kickoff gathering for the Seeds of Climate Justice storytelling and oral history project!
Since these stories are rooted in community knowledge and experiences, I’m hosting a public co-creation/planning virtual session on Monday, February 2nd, at 5:30 pm PT. In this kickoff, we will have a chance to connect while dreaming up how to share stories and amplify leaders, their impact, and their critical contributions.
Even if you can only make it for 15 or 30 minutes, I’d love for you to pop in!
Please RSVP here and I will send you the calendar invitation and Zoom link.
Regardless of whether you can join the kickoff event or not, I’d like to invite you to complete this brief survey to shape the first round of interviews.
As a reminder, Seeds of Climate Justice seeks to amplify the stories of people, especially leaders of color, who advanced groundbreaking environmental/climate justice initiatives that laid the groundwork for substantial progress on climate, clean energy, and environmental justice in Seattle, King County, and the region. We plan to share these stories in recorded oral history snippets and on online podcasts. At the very core of these stories are maps for changing who leads, building sustained community power, and creating durable progressive policy with the constituency to back it in the public square.
Please feel free to pass on this survey and the kick-off event to anyone who might be interested.
I look forward to highlighting our community’s brilliance and creating a story together.
Onward,
-S
