Day 3 of the Teaching Residency began with a special session by Praise Fowowe, who challenged us to think differently about what it means to “take territories.”
We often associate kingdom influence with powerful meetings, compelling sermons, or moments of revival. While these are important, they are rarely sufficient on their own. Nations are transformed through systems, families, institutions, education, business, governance, and culture.
Kingdom influence, therefore, is not simply about gathering people. It is about building structures that preserve truth and shape generations.
That theme carried naturally into Olufisayo Okunsanya’s teaching.
His session started with a reminder that many of the trials we are eager to escape may be the very places where God is preparing us for greater responsibility. Sometimes, what appears to be darkness becomes the place where He builds character, reveals purpose, and establishes spiritual capacity.
One of the more thought-provoking ideas from the session was the legal nature of redemption. The blood of Jesus is not only the basis of our forgiveness but also our standing before God. Redemption is not just an emotional experience; it establishes a new legal reality through which believers can approach God with confidence and address any iniquity in our bloodlines.
