I’ll admit that my intention to create a travel capsule wardrobe around a pop of red started as something I did as a fun way to theme dress for my destination, Canada. What I didn’t fully understand was just how great the pop of red would look against the most incredible scenery my eyes have ever seen. I hadn’t planned to wear a pop of red EVERY day but once I started I couldn’t stop, even if it was a simply adding a necklace, a neck scarf or a red knit popped around my shoulders.
I absolutely know this level of thinking about what you put in a suitcase and choose to wear while travelling is not for everyone. For me, it brings me great joy to create outfits for my every day when home, so why not do the same thing when travelling but on a smaller scale, I say.
As anticipated, I experienced a mixed bag of temperatures, ranging from 5-28 degrees and often big temperature ranges in the one day. I’m really glad that my plan for light layers paid off. On any given day, I didn’t find myself feeling too hot or too cold.
My choice of FRANKIE4 Footwear shoes also meant that I was never not comfortable, from the flight over, to walking on a glacier and wandering through a new town or city.
You’ll find more of about what I wore on THIS POST below. I was touring Western Canada with Travelmarvel.
