When I started my first band in music, I was “the manager.”

I was the one that set up our releases, built the rollout plans, reached out to blogs, booked shows.

It’s … A LOT.

Every artist loves making music, but turning that passion into a career is a whole different skill set, and I believe AI can help accelerate a lot of this.

We launched SIX last year to give artists some basic AI tools, but we had a cool breakthrough recently:

SIX is an AI agent that releases your music to Spotify, Apple Music and 30+ stores.

• It analyses your streaming and social metrics to build a personal rollout plan that matches your goals and vision.

• It finds playlists that match your genre and career stage.

• Finds industry contacts you can reach out to.

• Builds an EPK around your release.

Plus … setting up your release in natural language is pretty fun.

SIX is our attempt to stay on top of the latest technology. We are a tech-first newsletter and industry resource, and that means getting deep and using the technology. We build with it, pressure-test it and push to see what’s possible.

We started looking into this concept last summer, and then released V1 of our “AI music team” in October last year. And while people liked chatting with it, we quickly realised that the AI needs to do more. It needs to go out and execute. So V2 is all about execution: releasing music and building marketing assets.

Of course, there’s still plenty of limitations and I’ll keep being honest about them.
