SLU scored four times in the first 17 minutes against Lindenwood and went on to a 5-0 women’s soccer win at Hermann Stadium on Sunday to even its record at 1-1-0.
Audrey Smith scored the first two on loose balls in front of the net, and 10 players went on to register either a goal or an assist.
Blakely Hockett, Lucie Schwartz and Leah Simpson added goals before halftime. The Billikens outshot Lindenwood 21-5 overall and 13-2 on goal.
Goalkeepers Emma Parker and Pepper Escher combined for the shutout, making one save each.
SLU’s next four games are on the road, starting Thursday at Missouri.
