You know of Tekla, right?
The Danish brand of cool, contemporary striped towels. In those perfect, paired back colour combo’s.
I always think of them for their towels (probably as I’ve wanted some since forever) but there’s bedding, robes, PJ’s - everything you want to lounge in comfort in, in striped perfection.
I LOVE them, but they’re far too pricey for me (I cannot / will not ever want to spend hundreds on towels)…
I’ve finally found an alternative that looks just as good, but I can actually afford. I’ve even surprised myself with this find! And it’s not H&M.
As much as I love H&M for their premium or studio collections, let us B honest, their towels are not in that realm (crap, thin quality).
My new brand again above there… and when I said half the price than Tekla that’s also for not one, but TWO towels (they’re sold as a pair).
But first allow me a little more Tekla chatter, I’m building this up for you, as I just think this alternative brand is such a great find, which I’ve only ever dreamt existed.
When I was at Copenhagen Fashion Week back in January with Farrah @Substack, Alexandra Stedman and Garance Doré (team Substack), Tekla hosted a breakfast event in store… it was one of the things we were all most excited to attend. Really!
And it seemed the feeling was mutual amongst the Copenhagen elite.
Despite the price tag. Of course they’re expensive. But, these aren’t just any striped cotton home textiles, they’re a design statement, a signal your home / lifestyle is cool and complete.
And that’s how to build a brand, on basic striped towels and sheets.
If you have nice towels it means you have your life together (right?). And yes, I want them.
Did I mention my brand do bedding, sheets and robes too? Just like Tekla… but HALF THE PRICE.
